CNA Training in Wyoming
Is finding a new job at this time of an uncertain future worrying you? Consider entering the healthcare industry by enrolling in a CNA training in Wyoming.
Choosing an entry-level job in nursing like a certified nursing aide will open up great career opportunities in a profession offering excellent future prospects.
CNA training in Wyoming is usually made available at community colleges, nursing homes, hospitals, technical schools, academies, long-term care facilities, and high schools. An approved nurse aide training program must consist of a total of at least seventy-five hours of training (including a minimum of sixteen hours of practical training).
All students need to pass a health as well as a criminal background check (including fingerprints). When you have completed your training class, you can then apply for the National Nurse Aide Assessment Examination (NNAAP), managed by Pearson VUE.
This nurse aide exam contains a written and an oral (can be taken in English or Spanish) part (seventy multiple-choice questions) and a skills examination (you have to perform five CNA tasks successfully). You must pass your test within two years.
You are allowed ten test attempts within those two years. Once you have completed this nurse aide test with success, your certificate will be mailed to you, and your name will be added to Wyoming’s nurse aide registry.
Your CNA license will expire on December 31 of even years and must be renewed (you must have worked as a certified nursing assistant for a minimum of sixteen paid hours and need to have attended at least 24 hours of continued nurse aide training during the last twenty-four months, and submit a criminal background check including fingerprints).
In case you are from another state, you are permitted to have your CNA license transferred by reciprocity (license must be valid and in good standing, your former nurse aide training and exam must meet Wyoming’s standards, and you have to submit a criminal background check including fingerprints).
With a positive job growth in healthcare in this state, it is a good time considering CNA training in Wyoming. At the moment, there are only few professions which can offer the job opportunities available to the field of nursing. In Wyoming, certified nurse aides can earn between $21,110 and $35,510 on average per annum.
